We arrived at Eagle Point Beach Resort and Hotel in Batangas, Anilao hotel, a hotel in Batangas, late at night. My favourite part of the trip to the Batangas hotel was going down the steep mountain road, like a roller coaster ride, which I believe is only for the brave and adventurous. At arrival, we were greeted politely and shown to our beautiful cottage situated in front of the seaside where we could hear the sound of the waves.

The next morning we had breakfast at the pool, I tried the Beef tapa with garlic rice, which was the tastiest tapa I have ever had in a hotel in Anilao. My friend Stephanie had Grilled Tuna Belly with teriyaki sauce, and although I don’t eat seafood, I tasted it and it was very flavourful.

After breakfast, I went to the this Anilao dive shop and took a Scuba Diving refresher course in the shark pool, where there were 5 black tip baby sharks. There were children snorkeling in the shark pool enjoying themselves.

We decided to jump into the ocean and Scuba Dive down 80ft where I experienced a marine life wonderland. We saw a lobster, sting ray, eel, and a large diversity of fish. We reached the Cathedral where a large stone cross was planted decades ago. Fish were swarming in a circle around the divers who were feeding bread.

To relax after the dive, we went to the south end pool to swim, drink wine, and watch the sunset. Dinner time, we enjoyed the buffet dinner serving a mix of Filipino and European dishes. The restaurant had a nice vibe and good music. We then listened to a band play popular songs by the pool while drinking some red Australian wine.

Eagle Point Resort is a resort in Batangas that I will always return to. There is something unique and natural about this Batangas resort that makes a guest feel young and adventurous.
